I’ve been in the situation countless times where either I spend so much time trying to decide what to make for supper that by the time I decide, it’s so late that we end up getting take out. Or I decide with just enough time to cook what I’ve chosen, but then I end up missing ingredients! That’s where these handy meal planner printables come in handy!
Why Meal Planner Printables Are Handy
Meal Planner printables can be handy for many different reasons. Here are some of the great reasons to print them out and keep copies on hand.
They Keep You Organized
When you don’t know what to make for supper or you’ve ran out of something that you use all the time, example bread or milk, these printables will come to your aid! In my house, if I don’t have these planner sheets handy, then my family will not let me know if I need to buy something or we’ve ran out of something. So having these in a spot where everyone knows where to find it is extremely helpful. Just let your family know where you’re keeping them and tell them to write down anything specific we need for groceries or a meal they would like to have for a supper one night.
They Help Save Time
So many people lead crazy busy lives these days. Whether you’re running from school drop offs, activities for you or the kids or running home late at the end of the day from a difficult day at work, these will be your go-to to know what you’ll be making for supper that night. The Weekly Meal Planner has a place to write what you will be making for supper overnight, as well as the groceries required for all those planned recipes. That way you will know what to make and you will have all the necessary ingredients.
The Healthy Meal Planner can help you for time, since you have a spot for each day of the week and you can write down every meal of the day that you plan to have or have had. That way you never have to guess. You can become extremely organized using the Healthy Meal Planner since you will always be able to organize your meals.
The Meal Planner Printables Help With Healthy Eating
On those days when you’re running late or can’t figure out what to make, instead of running to a fast food drive in, you will have your meal already planned out. You can sit down as a family on a Sunday (or whatever day you prefer) and you can decide what meal to have every evening and make sure that the meals that are chosen are healthy. The Grocery List helps because this way when you go to do your groceries, you will most likely stick to your list, which will include all the healthy foods from your Weekly Meal Planner.
They Get The Whole Family Involved
These meal planner printables are great when it comes to getting all your family members involved in the meal planning and prep. I find that since I started using them, my kids will write down something specific they want me to buy or they will give me meal suggestions.
Use the Weekly Meal Planner on the day you sit as a family to plan your meals for the week and have every family member give one of two ideas for a weekly meal. Then when it comes time to cook that meal, involve the person who suggested it, whether it be a partner or spouse or your child and have them cook with you. This increased my kids love for cooking and for my picky eaters, it encouraged them to eat the meal since they were the one who helped prepare it.

The Weekly Meal Planner
The Weekly Meal Planner is broken down by the seven days of the week and each day has a spot to write down the meal for that day. You can include all three meals or you can just write down what you plan to have for dinner. Once you’ve decided your meal, check which ingredients you will need for that specific meal and check to see if you have everything you need. If you’re missing some ingredients, write them down on the right hand side in the section called Groceries Needed. You can include the groceries for all seven days.

The Grocery List
The grocery list is SO… handy for keeping track of the groceries you need. Whether you do your grocery shopping every week or you go every two weeks, you can use this grocery list to keep track of what you need to buy. Place it on your fridge or any spot that the whole family can access and when something runs out, write it on the list.
I use my grocery list for not only food, but also for whatever item we run out of in the house. So it could be anything for laundry or self care products or even clothes that my kids have outgrown. I use the section called Notes and I include those items there.
